To celebrate Kristen and Lizard tying the knot this weekend (with yours truly there to capture every moment!), I’m excited to share their Downtown Chattanooga Engagement Session from this summer. I’ve actually known Kristen for over two decades—which is mind-blowing to me—because we went to middle and high school together back in Gulf Shores, Alabama. We reconnected when I moved to Fort Payne, just an hour from where she lives in Chattanooga, and even saw Jimmy Eat World together when they came to town. I was so happy to have another millennial friend to share the nostalgia with and am still so grateful our paths crossed again all these years later!

Kristen and Lizard have such a beautiful, playful connection, and I knew their Downtown Chattanooga Engagement Session had to reflect that. This session is exactly what I mean when I say I love making photos that “feel like you.” We explored a few locations that are significant to their relationship, starting at a local classic: Frothy Monkey. I absolutely adore Kristen and Lizard’s uniquely whimsical style, and they pulled out all the stops with their hair, makeup, and outfits. After capturing some photos in and around Frothy Monkey, we made our way over to The Boneyard, one of their favorite hangout spots that’s filled with cool vintage decor and neon lights.

To Kristen and Lizard: I’m so happy you two found each other, and I’m honored you chose me to help document your one-of-a-kind love story. Now, let’s get you two married!
