Tyler + Ema | Surprise Picnic Proposal | Cartersville Engagement Photographer

Tyler and Ema’s surprise picnic proposal was intimate, thoughtful, and romantic…everything you could ask for when popping the question! I was honored when Tyler reached out for my help documenting the moment he proposed to Ema. He planned the cutest golden hour picnic for the two of them at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville, Georgia, which had a beautiful open field with plenty of room to twirl and frolic (and show off that gorgeous ring!). I invited a friend to act as my cover so it looked like I was taking pictures of her until it was time for Tyler to get down on one knee.

Ema said yes, of course, and I was thrilled to capture the first engagement portraits of the newly engaged couple! Both of them were absolutely beaming and radiating love, and the soft natural lighting added an extra touch of fairytale-like dreaminess to their surprise picnic proposal. Tyler even snuck some bubbly into their picnic basket to celebrate afterward by wrapping the champagne bottle and glasses in blankets so they wouldn’t make any noise and ruin the surprise.

I’m wishing Tyler and Ema all the best as they soak up the engagement bliss and start planning their future together as husband and wife!
