Sam + Julia | Surprise Mountaintop Proposal | Huntsville Engagement Photographer

Sam and Julia’s surprise mountaintop proposal was one for the books because it actually consisted of not one, but two epic surprises! Sam and I discussed a few potential locations for the proposal and eventually decided Burritt on the Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama would be the perfect spot. I set up flowers at the gazebo where Sam would pop the question before assuming my hiding spot until the happy couple arrived.

Julia was completely shocked when Sam dropped to one knee, and of course, she said yes! We celebrated by taking some engagement portraits at Burritt’s scenic overlook, where we also recreated the proposal for a few extra fun shots with the gorgeous mountain views. The newly engaged couple called their loved ones to share the exciting news, and then Sam surprised Julia with Bonnaroo tickets to see one of their favorite musicians, Noah Kahan. Sam truly went above and beyond to spoil Julia, and she definitely succeeded. Best. Day. Ever!

Sam and Julia radiated love and joy the entire time we explored Burritt’s stunning property. I’m so grateful I got to be part of their big moment and wish them all the best as they enter this exciting new chapter hand in hand.
