All that we remember is what we choose not to forget.
I love photography because I love to remember things. I think it's important to remember the people and places and things that make you happy. I think the world could use a little more happy. So, I made it my job to help you do that.
My dream is to help couples, families, and other creative professionals tell their story through photos so that they never forget who they are, where they’ve been, and who they’ve shared it with.
I've been doing this since I was 14. Kind of. My dad let me “borrow” his film camera when I was a teenager, but we all know how that goes. I took it with me everywhere. I photographed school dances and family reunions and my walks home from school. I wanted to remember everything.
I loved showing my family and friends the moments I captured, the moments that we can now look back on forever.
Hi, I'm Jessi
If you would have told 14-year-old Jessi (in all of her emo, nerdy glory) that one day she will have photographed nearly 1000 families, plus over 100 weddings (including one that flew her to Jamaica) and dozens of creative pros - and that they now get to keep those precious memories forever - she would be so happy.
I’ve gotten to photograph couples in love, expectant moms, silly kids, quiet kids, fashion bloggers, rock bands, gorgeous models, and even one of the actresses from Stranger Things.
I would love to tell your story.
I think it's important to remember where you've been and who you've shared it with. I want to remember as much as I can.
It brings me joy to help you do the same.
With over 15 years of experience in the photography industry, I have learned a lot about what makes a great photo - and it isn’t just the gear. Comfort, fun, intimacy, and honesty really go a long way into putting a session together and creating the kinds of photos that feel like the “real you.” I treat all of my clients like family, and I aim to produce lasting keepsakes that you will cherish for years to come.

When I first started photography, it was because I didn’t want to forget the places I went, the things I did and the people I did it with, but now I realize it’s more than that. I don’t want to forget the way I felt when I was doing it. And I don’t want you to forget it either.
I prefer cold, rainy days to hot, sunny ones. Give me a day that I can curl up under a warm fuzzy blanket with a hot cup of coffee and the next book in the TOG or ACOTAR series, please and thank you.
I am an INFP (was INFJ for the last 20 years but I just re-took the test…)
My favorite thing I’ve ever done was taking a solo roadtrip from LA to Seattle
Hanson is my favorite band of all time. Yes they have more than that mmmBop song
My favorite place I’ve ever been is New Zealand, and next on my bucket list are Iceland and Scotland
I am a Ravenclaw, through and through. And I still don’t understand how Hermione wasn’t. We can be brave too.
The Name
The name Jessi Casara all started with one of my favorite memories of my grandfather. My full name is actually Jessica Sara Lambert, but my family has always called me Jessi. When I was little, my grandpa Fred would address my birthday cards to Jessi Casara Lambert, saying “That must be how it’s spelled since everyone calls you Jessi!" The name stuck, and sentimental Jessi decided to make it the name of her photography business. An ode to memories and all of our favorite stories...
The Bluebirds
An ode to my mother's mother
These sweet birds remind me of my favorite memories with my mom and granny. They symbolize finding joy in nature and are also symbols of hope, renewal, and spiritual development.
the hat
An ode to my father
This hat holds so many stories. It is an ode to my daddy and the sense of adventure he instilled in me. It also symbolizes protection, nostalgia, and sentimentality.
the slogan
An ode to you
Telling your stories for the last eleven years has been such a privilege and honor. I am so grateful to be able to share your memories through my photos, and can’t wait to share more.
