The Parham Family | Extended Family Session in the North Georgia Mountains | Blue Ridge Family Photographer

This Extended Family Session in the North Georgia Mountains gave me the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with some of my very first clients, the Parham family! I’ve been documenting memories for this crew for over a decade, and it’s always such a joy to catch up with them and see what’s new with everyone. This time around, we met at a beautiful cabin in Blue Ridge, where all 23 family members came together for an evening of photos, games, and s’mores.

Working with a large group can present some unique logistics and dynamics, but the Parham family is so fun and easygoing that photographing them never feels like work. During this Extended Family Session in the North Georgia Mountains, I made sure to take photos of each individual family (you might recognize one of them, the Alexanders, from their Chattanooga Fall Family Session!) in addition to capturing the entire group together. Trying to pose a bunch of kids, parents, and grandparents can feel a bit like herding cats at times, so I always incorporate plenty of candids that showcase the genuine family moments everyone loves looking back on, like roasting marshmallows, dancing, and making each other laugh with silly faces.

I’m so grateful to the Parham family for being such longtime supporters of me and my business! I look forward to documenting many more of their family adventures in the years to come.
