Devin + Kiaya | Hotel Magnolia Wedding | Alabama Wedding Photographer

Kiaya and Devin’s Hotel Magnolia wedding was super special for a couple of reasons, and I’m so excited to be sharing their wedding photos with you in honor of their upcoming anniversary! Kiaya and Devin are a beautiful couple, and their wedding was the perfect reflection of the sweet love they share for each other.

The first really special thing about this wedding is that I used to babysit Kiaya and her siblings! I have literally watched her grow up and blossom into an incredibly sweet and beautiful woman. I love her whole family, and it was so fun for me to reconnect with all of them and be a part of her big day. Kiaya and Devin have actually been together since 8th grade, making them middle school sweethearts! I feel like it’s pretty rare nowadays to stay with a romantic partner through high school and beyond, and it’s so special to see the beautiful life that Kiaya and Devin have built together over the years.

Another reason this wedding was so unique is that Kiaya’s brother, Kyle, got to be a part of it. Kyle is in the military and was actually on deployment when the wedding happened, so Kiaya didn’t think he would get to be there for her special day. Imagine her surprise when he showed up during the family portraits! Kyle managed to come home and be a part of the celebration, and it was so amazing to capture her reaction when he showed up. That definitely ranks among my top five favorite wedding moments of all time!

The wedding took place at Hotel Magnolia in Foley, AL, a gorgeous venue that’s one of my favorites to photograph. Kiaya was an absolute vision, and J.Willis Hair and Beauty did an amazing job with her hair and makeup. The ceremony ended right around golden hour, which was perfect for taking newlywed pictures. The reception was a really fun time, and I especially loved their Polaroid guest book – such a fun and creative way to remember the wedding! They also had a bubble send-off, which was a super cute idea. 

Kiaya and Devin will be celebrating their first anniversary as a married couple on May 22, so join me in wishing them a big congratulations. I hope you enjoy their wedding photos, and thank you again to the happy couple for choosing me to document their special day!
