Skylyr + Amos | Gilmore Girls-Themed Wedding | Tennessee Wedding Photographer

Today I’m coming at you with some photos from one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever photographed! Skylyr and Amos love Gilmore Girls, so they decided to channel Luke and Lorelai’s small town, fairytale wedding vibes for their own big day! Even though Skylyr and Amos officially tied the knot in 2020, they weren’t able to have an actual celebration until April 2021. They chose to celebrate their first anniversary by gathering friends and extended family, and their Gilmore Girls-themed wedding turned out so beautiful.

The couple married in Waynesboro, Tennessee at their family church, and we then headed over to take pictures at the Waynesboro Gazebo. Skylyr was an absolute vision in her David’s Bridal wedding dress, and she and Amos made a picture-perfect pair. After the ceremony, a dinner reception and party was held right around the corner from the gazebo at Emeralds, in their beautiful courtyard. For their newlywed pictures, we walked around downtown to capture those charming, small town vibes that Skylyr and Amos love so much. We also made sure to take pictures in front of Prater’s Jewelry, where they got their rings! 

There were so many cute, personalized touches throughout the day that I loved capturing. For instance, Skylyr is a huge Harry Potter fan, just like me, so I was obsessed with her cake topper! Another super sweet touch was the bags of coffee that were given out as wedding favors. Skylyr’s mom is actually a coffee roaster (give her a follow @foreshadowingfoxroasters on Instagram!) so she prepared all the wedding favors herself, which I loved.
