Are you struggling to create effective emails that convert leads and first-time website visitors into actual clients? Don't worry, I've been there too! As a small business owner, I've been through a lot of trial and error when it comes to capturing email leads and converting them into paying customers. That's exactly why I'm sharing my top tips to convert email leads so you can start growing your business and connecting with more clients!
Psst, want even more tips on converting email leads? Click here for my free downloadable guide: 6 Steps to Craft the Perfect Email.
Create simple + engaging opt-in forms
My first tip for converting email leads is to have a simple and engaging opt-in form where potential clients can enter their info for you to get in touch. I have two opportunities for website visitors to get connected with me via email and both of them are pretty straightforward. There's nothing more annoying than being bombarded with pop-ups and reminders to subscribe when you're trying to look through a site, so I like to keep these forms pretty minimal.
Take advantage of professional tools/resources
A huge game-changer for me when it comes to email lead conversion has been taking advantage of professional tools and resources that help with automation, workflows, and time management. For instance, I use Flodesk to easily design and send out monthly newsletters and freebies to my list of subscribers, and 17hats helps with tasks like capturing forms and sending out questionnaires. Check out my post The Best Small Business Tools for Photographers for a full overview of all the programs I use—there's even some discount codes in there for you to use!
Personalize your emails
My last huge tip for successfully turning email leads into clients is to personalize your emails and other forms of communication as much as possible. I explain this more in-depth in my 6 Steps to Craft the Perfect Email guide (sneak peek above!), but it makes such a difference when you address someone by name and include personal details to show them you're attentive and personable. Email lead conversion is all about forming connections and building relationships, and this will make a huge impact on potential clients.
I hope these tips are helpful as you embark on your email lead conversion journey! Make sure to download my guide 6 Steps to Craft the Email for even more tips and tricks.
