Fun fact: I'm terrified of heights. But when Jenn and Mike asked me to document their elopement at the Gatlinburg SkyPark in Tennessee, I knew I had to overcome my fears. There was no way I would miss the opportunity to capture this adventurous elopement! I'm so glad I did it too, because it was the most spectacular day.
Jenn and Mike love adventuring together, so eloping somewhere outdoorsy and unconventional only made sense. I'll admit my stomach did a few flips on our SkyLift ride to the top—but it was 100% worth it to see the happy couple beaming with excitement. The chairlift was the perfect, whimsical kickoff and gave me major Wes Anderson vibes.
Once at the top, Jenn and Mike made things official while overlooking the stunning Tennessee mountains. The bride and groom looked so sweet and beautiful together, and I especially loved the floral accents courtesy of The English Garden. We wandered the park for newlywed portraits and strolled along the SkyBridge (the country's longest pedestrian cable bridge), enjoying the sunshine and Gatlinburg views.
This was one of the most unique elopements I've ever had the honor of documenting, and I'm so proud we braved the sky-high venue!
Congratulations to Jenn and Mike—and a big thanks for inspiring me to conquer my fear of heights! Wishing you so many more adventures together.
