Lizzie + Solomon | Colorado Springs Adventure Couple Session | Colorado Couple Photographer

In September I had the awesome opportunity to take a cross-country road trip and visit some of my favorite folks who live out of state. After stopping in Dallas to photograph an In-Home Session for Zach and Claudia’s 17th wedding anniversary (which you can read about right here), I made my way up to Colorado to see my cousin Solomon and his wife Lizzie for a Colorado Springs Adventure Couple Session! 

I was so excited to get to see these two and explore the Colorado Springs area. We set aside a whole day to do an Adventure Couple Session, and it was such a blast. The first stop of the day was Green Mountain Falls, a charming little mountain town with an adorable park area. Lizzie and Solomon brought along their pup, Willie Nelson, who is super spunky and full of personality. 

Our next stop was Turkey Rocks, a gorgeous hiking and rock-climbing area that is near and dear to Lizzie and Solomon’s hearts. The road there was super rugged and bumpy which definitely made the session feel extra adventurous! The views at Turkey Rocks were absolutely stunning, and I couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop.

The last location I photographed Lizzie and Solomon at was probably my favorite of the whole day. After a quick outfit change, we headed over to Garden of the Gods just in time to catch the sunset. We definitely weren’t the only people who thought to do a sunset photoshoot at the park, but even with all the crowds, it was so worth it. Lizzie and Solomon kick serious butt and love to climb mountains in their free time, so they had no reservations about hopping up on some rocks for me to take some epic photos of them!

I’ve always seen Solomon as my baby cousin, but visiting him on this trip made me realize just how grown up he is! I love that he found a partner just as adventurous as he is, and I’m so glad I got to explore Colorado with these two for a few days. Photographing Lizzie and Solomon was such a fun and special experience, and I absolutely love how the photos from our Colorado Springs Adventure Couple Session turned out.
