A few weeks ago, I hosted the first JCP Styled Session Content Day, and it was nothing short of a dream come true! My goal was to curate three unique looks that would allow photographers and videographers to capture several different aesthetics, and they came together beautifully (if I do say so myself).
Throughout the day, I kept feeling like I had to pinch myself because it was hard to believe that I actually pulled this crazy idea off. If you couldn’t join me this time, keep reading for a recap of what you missed and some behind-the-scenes action. I’ll be blogging more moments from each of these styled sessions, so stay tuned in the coming weeks.
Also, keep an eye out for future Content Day announcements. I hope to host many more and would love to see you there!
The first look I wanted to bring to life was a Vintage Brunch Elopement. Bella and Tysen were my beautiful models, and they truly knocked it out of the park. They make a gorgeous couple and perfectly embodied the warm, romantic, and intimate vibes that I was envisioning. While the lovey-dovey (faux) bride and groom were the stars of the show, the vibrant florals and mouthwatering grazing table almost gave them a run for their money!
I couldn’t imagine a better crew to model for the second look—a Wes Anderson Family Christmas—than the Roggendorffs. This sweet family dove headfirst into the moody, offbeat aesthetic, and everyone enjoyed watching them embrace their inner quirkiness. After seeing the Roggendorffs all dressed up, I can 100% picture them starring in a Wes Anderson movie, can’t you?
My final styled session of the day was themed around a Cozy Campfire concept. Marki, Dan, and their adorable son Callaway made this a photoshoot to remember. They’re a stunning family that knows exactly how to work the camera together to deliver serious model vibes, silly candids, and everything in between. There was so much to love about this session, from the crackling fire to the rustic cottage-core styling—plus plenty of marshmallows to snack on!
I learned so much from planning and hosting my first Styled Session Content Day. It wasn’t perfect, and some aspects turned out differently than I thought or expected. However, I wouldn’t change anything about how it panned out. Coordinating this unforgettable day has truly inspired my creativity and motivated me to continue connecting with and educating fellow artists. I can’t wait for the next JCP Styled Session Content Day to be even bigger and better!
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredibly talented vendors who offered their time and services to make my vision a reality. HUGE thank you to these wonderful folks:
