Madalyn + Preston | Spring Outdoor Wedding | Alabama Wedding Photographer
One thing I’ll always remember about Madalyn and Preston’s spring outdoor wedding is how much laughter and fun filled the entire day! Documenting this special event was a full-circle moment for me. Madalyn’s Uncle Bob is actually my old boss (and now practically family). I was working for him and with Madalyn’s sweet momma, Connie, at Bob Chatham Custom Home Design when I decided to do photography full time. Their support is a big reason I am here today doing what I do!
Madalyn also interned with me a few summers ago, just before graduating from the University of Alabama (eep her adorable Gulf Shores Senior Beach Session). During that time, she was the Social Media Manager of Weddings by JCP on Instagram and even second shot a wedding with me! Reuniting with her—at her own wedding, no less!—was such a treat, and she’s just as beautiful and bubbly as ever.
Madalyn truly found her perfect match in Preston, and these two definitely know how to have a good time. Their wedding took place at Waters Edge, a gorgeous family-owned property in Robertsdale. One of the funniest moments of the day that had everyone laughing was when Preston thought he was about to have his first look with Madalyn…only to turn around and find one of his groomsmen wearing a wedding dress and veil! It was a hilarious way to ease the nerves before Preston finally got to see Madalyn all dolled up in her Normans Bridal gown, with hair and makeup by Hannah from SALT + LIGHT Beauty House.
The happy couple tied the knot during a sweet outdoor ceremony surrounded by picture-perfect florals from Hub City Florist. After officially becoming husband and wife, it was time to “turn up,” as Madalyn would say! DJ Brooke from SpitFire Entertainment kept the energy high, and the celebration continued well into the night with everyone out on the dance floor. The groom’s cake from Fairhope Chocolate was also a big hit and made everyone giggle! Madalyn and Preston wrapped up the evening with an epic send-off featuring bubbles, glow sticks, and balloons before heading off for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Huge shoutout to Albritton Events for planning such an incredible day!
