Ally + Derrick | Golden Hour Wedding at The Farm at Kensington and Cove | Georgia Wedding Photographer

There were so many sweet moments from Ally and Derrick’s golden hour wedding at The Farm at Kensington and Cove that I had the hardest time narrowing down which ones to share! I first connected with this amazing couple earlier in the year for their Fort Payne Farmhouse Engagement Session. Immediately after meeting them, I knew they shared something special and that their wedding day would be a dream. Spoiler alert: I was right!

Ally and Derrick tied the knot at The Farm at Kensington and Cove, a brand new Chickamauga wedding venue with 50 stunning acres. After getting all dolled up with her mom, grandma, bridesmaids, and flower girls (shout out to Hollyhocks and Honeysuckle for the gorgeous florals), Ally shared an adorable first look with her dad, which was one of my favorite parts of the whole day. Another aspect I loved is that Ally and Derrick exchanged private vows without seeing each other, so they could have the big reveal when Ally walked down the aisle.

The wait was worth it because Ally was absolutely stunning, and Derrick looked at her like she was the most breathtaking woman in the world. In an incredibly touching portion of the ceremony, Ally’s grandfather (affectionately known as Poopaw) led everyone in a worship song. It was an unforgettable moment that I know Ally and Derrick will cherish forever. Once the happy couple officially said “I do,” we snuck off for some sunset newlywed portraits. Ally had everyone cracking up when she jumped headfirst into the back of a car to drive to the next location because she thought it would be easiest.

The fun continued when we headed to a massive tree with a swing that I’ve been dreaming of using for newlywed photos. I’ve literally pulled over while driving by to snap pictures of it on my phone because of how perfect the spot is at sunset. Right across the street is a charming little chapel that I’ve also been dying to photograph, so we obviously had to incorporate some shots there. Talk about meant to be!
