I just wrapped up two incredible days of Fall Short Story Sessions, and I’m here with an official 2025 Fall Minis recap! This year, I hosted double the Mini Sessions with the help of the wonderful folks at Sugar Springs Homestead in Valley Head and The Copper Kettle Tea Bar in Foley. I was joined by 10 incredible families and had an absolutely fantastic time photographing each and every one of them. Check out the Fall Minis recap below to see some of the Short Story Session highlights.
The Cuppett Family
Okay, how cute is the Cuppett family? Michael and Kylie might have their hands full with two young daughters, but Lakelyn and Presley are definitely adorable enough to get away with it. I first photographed this sweet crew during a Chattanooga Family Session, and it was great to reconnect in North Alabama. I already can’t wait to see them again!
The White Family
Shoutout to the White family, who own Sugar Springs Homestead and graciously hosted this day of Fall Mini Sessions. Working with Jenna and Jordan has been a lot of fun, and I’m so thankful to them for opening up their property for Fall Minis. This is the second time I’ve done a Family Session for Jenna, Jordan, and their three boys, and it’s always a blast.
The Palmer Family
I absolutely loved meeting the Palmer family and am so glad they joined me for a Fall Short Story Session. Anne and Chris wanted to get at least one good picture of their daughter, Vivian, smiling for the camera, and they warned me it might be difficult since she’s a little ball of energy. Challenge accepted! Thankfully, I have a lot of experience wrangling little ones, and I think we knocked it out of the park.
The Clifford Family
Photographing the Clifford family was a treat because I consider Ashlyn a dear friend and invaluable creative collaborator (who helped me bring JCP’s first Styled Session Content Day to life). She’s a business owner, wife, mom, and all-around powerhouse—to know her is to love her, and the entire Clifford family is no different. Join me in wishing them a big congratulations as they prepare to add a new little one to the mix!
The Worthington Family
Getting to photograph multiple generations of a family is a privilege, so I’m grateful to the Worthingtons for trusting me to capture these cherished memories for them. GramPam and GrandPa are some of the best grandparents around, and it’s easy to see how much they absolutely adore their grandchildren and each other. Seeing Rhett and his GrandPa in their coordinated plaid shirts while GramPam, Addie Scott, and Ellie Ann broke out the fancy hats was a top highlight of my day!
The Kline Family
Oh, how I love the Kline family. I’ve been taking photos of this crew for years, from Bradly and Marie’s pregnancy announcement to Family Sessions on the farm, Elijah’s first birthday party, and a whole bunch of Minis in between. Documenting the Kline family as they grow and change over time has been such a cool journey, and I’m so appreciative of their continued support.
The Compagnoni Family
I had a lot of fun snapping photos of the Compagnoni family, even if poor little Maya wasn’t a fan of the campfire. She fought through the tears and put on a brave face, though, so we still ended up with some beautiful family portraits (if I do say so myself). The Copper Kettle Tea Bar also has a cute swing, which ended up being a big hit with Maya and her younger brother, Benny. Thank you to the Compagnoni crew for joining me!
The Quesada Family
I’ve known Sarah and Roger since they tied the knot in 2020, and they had an extra special guest for this year’s Fall Mini Session: their son, Rhys! I photographed his Harry Potter-themed Newborn Session back in 2023, and it’s hard to believe how fast he’s growing up. Sarah and Roger are two of the coolest people I know, so it’s no surprise they’re raising an equally awesome kid. I adore the Quesada family and wish them a fantastic, fun-filled holiday season.
The Duckworth Family
The Duckworths are another family that’s stuck with me for years, and I truly feel like I’ve grown alongside them. They usually join me for Mini Sessions, and I always look forward to catching up with Eric, Alanna, and their two girls. My time with the Duckworth family tends to include lots of giggles, and they make my job incredibly easy since they’re so beautiful inside and out!
The Peters Family
Fall Short Story Sessions at The Copper Kettle Tea Bar closed out with a bang, thanks to Robin and the entire Peters family. Robin and her sister, Sue, own the Tea Bar, and our families have actually been friends for years! Taking photos of Robin with her kids and grandkids was the best way to wrap up my day. This crew is so dang fun, and they truly have the most upbeat, lively energy. Big thanks to Robin, Sue, and everyone at The Copper Kettle Tea Bar!
HUGE thank you to everyone who joined me for a Fall Short Story Session—this might have been my favorite year yet! Join my email list to be among the first to know when I announce future Mini Session opportunities in 2026.

Jessi
