If you haven’t been to the Copper Kettle Tea Bar in Foley, AL yet, this is your sign to go! This cozy little tea house is one of my favorite places to visit, and their Valentine Fondue Night was definitely a February highlight for this Alabama Couple Photographer!
I have had the honor of calling Robin and Sue (sisters and owners of the Copper Kettle) my friends since I first met them at my parents’ old coffeehouse, the Olive Tree, in the early 2000s. Over the last two decades, their family has felt more like my own family, and I’m not the only one who feels that way. These beautiful people have a way of making strangers feel right at home, and the Copper Kettle has been a sanctuary for so many who may come for the tea but stay for the company.
The first time I took photos at the Copper Kettle was right around the time they first opened in 2014. They were a part of the “Inspired By” series I did during the first three years of my photography business. I photograph a lot of couples of families, but I LOVE photographing fellow dreamers too, and especially love getting to tell the stories of people who are making the world a better place.
Since then, I’ve gotten to take part in some of their “themed teas,” like the Under the Sea Tea and the Hobbit Tea. They host several of these special teas, as well as different events throughout the year. These events bring together other artists, couples, families, dreamers, and people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
(psst…you can check out their upcoming events on their website.)
This month, the Valentine Fondue Night was a great excuse for local couples and friends to get a taste of what the Copper Kettle has to offer.
I so loved getting to be a part of this sweet event, and I can’t wait to document more stories of the people who visit in the coming months.

Are you interested in a couple or family session of your own at this lovely location? I’ll be doing Backyard and Teatime Spring Short Story Sessions (a.k.a. mini sessions) at the Copper Kettle on Friday, April 25, 2025. You can check out the details right here. Hope to see you there!
