Are you searching for some outdoorsy, nature-inspired Chattanooga and North Georgia photo locations? Well, my friend, you’ve come to the right place! Since relocating to the Chattanooga area, I’ve been having a ton of fun exploring all the beautiful spots this region is known for. There are many picturesque hidden gems throughout Tennessee and North Georgia, and these are some of my favorite discoveries so far.

Chattanooga and North Georgia Photo Locations Guide

Point Park

I had the pleasure of photographing a Sunset Maternity Session at Point Park, and I can’t wait to return for future sessions. Located on Lookout Mountain, this memorial park features historic Civil War-era monuments and breathtaking overlooks of Chattanooga below.

At Point Park, you get a little of everything: dramatic vistas, eye-catching architecture, romantic nature trails, and more. I highly recommend Point Park to any fellow Chattanooga and North Georgia photographers looking for a location with many unique backdrops.

Note: Point Park admission is $10/adult (16 years and older).

Greenway Farms

Need a Chattanooga photo spot with plenty of room to spread out? Greenway Farms is just the place. This gorgeous park runs along North Chickamauga Creek and has acres of rolling hills and forests for walking, biking, or taking photos.

Greenway Farms is excellent for Family Sessions because it gives young kiddos a chance to get some energy out by running around (you’re welcome, parents 😜). As a bonus, the park is free to visit!

Chickamauga Battlefield

Chickamauga Battlefield is another beautiful spot to take photos in the North Georgia area. The sprawling park has something for every session, from scenic open fields to towering trees and interesting structures.

I love photographing families and couples in front of the Wilder Brigade Monument, a striking 85-foot tower that adds a unique element to any picture. This North Georgia photo location is a fantastic option year-round, regardless of the occasion.

Coolidge Park

Every Chattanooga photographer knows Coolidge Park is where it’s at! As one of my top downtown Chattanooga photo spots, I’ve spent a lot of time at this lovely location. Coolidge Park is on the North Shore and boasts views of the Tennessee River and the iconic pedestrian Walnut Street Bridge.

When the weather is nice, Coolidge Park always has something fun happening. Its fun, laid-back energy perfectly encapsulates the vibe of Chattanooga. I’m also obsessed with the park’s over 100-year-old carousel!

Cloudland Canyon State Park

Finally, I have to highlight the jaw-dropping beauty of Cloudland Canyon State Park. This iconic Georgia landmark is seriously epic, with massive canyons, cliffs, and waterfalls. If you’re up for a physical challenge, consider hiking into the canyon to take photos with Hemlock Falls in the background. The waterfall is over 90 feet high and makes a breathtaking addition to photographs—especially romantic Couple Sessions.

You can also score some incredible views with minimal effort from the park’s main overlook, which is ideal for folks of all ages and ability levels. Wherever you decide to shoot at Cloudland Canyon, you’ll enjoy some of Georgia’s most picturesque sights.
