Bennett + Isabel | Surprise Proposal at McLemore Resort | North Georgia Engagement Photographer

Bennett and Isabel’s surprise proposal at McLemore Resort might have had me hiding in the woods like a creeper, but I loved every second! This sweet couple was visiting North Georgia from out of town, and Bennett reached out for my help photographing the moment he proposed to Isabel. I was immediately excited because I always enjoy a good surprise, and we pulled it off pretty perfectly (if I do say so myself). McLemore Resort is a beautiful property located atop Lookout Mountain, so Bennett took Isabel on a nearby hike under the guise of showing her a “cool rock.” Little did she know that the rock was actually an engagement ring!

I waited out of sight near the trail until they reached an overlook where Bennett dropped to one knee and officially popped the question. Isabel had the sweetest reaction, and it was so fun to reveal that I was there to capture the moment! After snapping some photos of the new fiancés, the surprise continued when Isabel learned that her family had flown in the night before for an engagement party. They were waiting to cheer on the newly engaged couple as they hiked back to the resort, and it was so cute to see all the happy tears as everyone celebrated Bennett and Isabel.
