Erin + Jake | Intimate Cloudland Canyon Elopement | Georgia Wedding Photographer
Photographing Erin and Jake’s intimate Cloudland Canyon elopement was an adventure I won’t soon forget! The weather forecast for the big day was all over the place, so their timeline had to shift several times. Thankfully, we had the flexibility to play things by ear (one huge perk of eloping!), and the timing ended up working out perfectly so that Erin and Jake tied the knot under beautiful blue skies.
Erin was an absolute bridal vision with hair and makeup by Salon 256, and I was also obsessed with her florals from Town Creek Field and Farm. They’re among my favorite wedding florists in North Alabama, and they truly never miss! She and Jake officially said “I do” at the Cloudland Canyon overlook, one of the most stunning wedding venues with a view in the Chattanooga area. It was also the ideal spot for me to snap some photos of the new Mr. and Mrs. with their closest loved ones.
After the ceremony, the happy couple and I hiked into the canyon for newlywed portraits at Cherokee Falls. The trek there is a serious workout, featuring 600+ steps each way, but it was oh so worth the effort. Erin and Jake were even brave enough to play around in the freezing water, which was an extra special touch!
