Lucy + Will | Outdoor Winter Wedding | North Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee Wedding Photographer

If you’re a bride-to-be, have you ever thought about hosting an outdoor winter wedding? It might sound like a crazy concept, but Will and Lucy pulled it off perfectly! Outdoor winter weddings are totally doable depending on your venue and where in the world you’re located, so I’m really excited to get you inspired with some photos of Will and Lucy’s big day.

You might recognize Will and Lucy’s smiling faces from their engagement photos on the homepage of my website, and I’m so honored I got to reunite with the couple to photograph their wedding. In December, Will and Lucy tied the knot at Historic Blakeley State Park, one of my favorite Baldwin County photo spots. Thankfully, Alabama doesn’t usually get too cold during the winter, and the weather was pretty much perfect on their wedding day. Events by Raine did a beautiful job coordinating all the details of Will and Lucy’s wedding, and I was obsessed with the gorgeous flowers provided by Southern Veranda Florals.

Lucy was a stunning bride in her Bliss Bridal gown, with makeup and hair by Brushed + Blushed. One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when she did a first look with her dad – the look on his face when he saw Lucy for the first time was so sweet and emotional that pretty much everyone started crying! Also, can we take a moment to talk about how stinkin’ adorable Lucy and Will’s pup, Marley, was all dressed up in his bow tie? 

One of the coolest parts of Lucy and Will’s wedding was the fact that they had a violinist (shoutout to Mobile Strings), a DJ from Gulf Coast Sounds, and a mariachi band! Moderno International surprised everyone during the reception, and they really got the party going. I thought it was such a fun and unique way for the couple to honor Lucy’s Hispanic heritage, and all the guests had a blast. StoryLive Productions was there to film the entire day, and I’m sure Lucy and Will have a lot of fun looking back at the moment in particular.
