The Purvis Family | Multi-Generational Family Session | Alabama Family Photographer

Today I’m excited to be sharing a really fun Multi-Generational Family Session I shot with the Purvis crew! How special is it to capture family photos with not just parents and kids, but grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many more members of the family?

There was also a special surprise that made the Purvis family’s session super fun and unique. When the granddaughter of the family reached out to me about booking the session, she told me the family wanted to take pictures at her grandparents’ property in front of a family boat. The super cool thing is that her grandfather actually built the boat by hand! Now, honestly, I was picturing a small little fishing boat, so I was shocked to see how big it actually was! Having the opportunity to incorporate the Purvis family’s boat and property into their photos was so special because you could tell it meant a lot to all of them.

Getting to shoot Family Sessions is already special enough, but being able to photograph the Purvis family in a place so close to their hearts made this session that much sweeter. The family let me know that the grandparents’ property is where they all gather to have fun together, which I think is so awesome. The property itself was absolutely beautiful, as was the Purvis family. I’m so honored I got to work with these fantastic folks!
