Happy official start of summer! I'm excited to kick off the season with Oliver's surf's up birthday beach session, which had all the sunny, carefree vibes. It's hard to believe this little guy is already a year old—it feels just like yesterday I was documenting his moms' maternity session and capturing newborn photos.
Oliver's moms wanted a surfing and beach theme for his one-year birthday, and I think we nailed it. AJ Giles (🏄🏾♀️🌸 Pleasure Island Surf 🌸🏄) kindly let us borrow some of his surfboards which were perfect for our time on the beach. Oliver was super curious about the boards and dipping his toes in the waves. Who knows, we might have a future surfer on our hands! His Binkybro hat was also an adorable touch for some of the photos.
I love how excited Oliver got for his special birthday cake—he immediately dove in and seemed to really enjoy smashing and eating it. Plus, how cute are those tiny overalls?! Definitely the cutest beach bum around.
Thanks to Katie and Katie, Oliver's mamas, for trusting me to document these huge milestones for their family. I can't wait to see who Oliver grows up to be!
