I absolutely loved getting to photograph this beautiful wedding at Destin Bay House earlier this summer. Madelyn was such a beautiful bride, and I loved the personal touches they put into all of their details. My favorite was probably how she used part of her mom's wedding dress as her own gown, but I am also a huge fan of the converses she wore and their engraved wooden wedding bands - that was the first time I had seen that!
As with every summer florida wedding, the weather looked like it could have been perfectly sunny or crazy stormy. But you know what they say, rain is good luck on your wedding day! So we were going to go with whatever it threw at us. As luck would have it, it started raining right as the ceremony ended. So, for the post ceremony portraits, we found a cute clear umbrella from the Bay House's rock star coordinator Erin, and I could not have been happier with the way they turned out. The intimacy we captured under that umbrella are some of my favorite moments to date.
